The Bridge Spirituality Group

How does forgiveness work? What’s the gap between our daily jobs and the work we really feel called to do in the world?  What is the “historical Jesus” – and who can Jesus be for me now?  Aren't there other ways to God than just Christianity?  These are the kinds of questions we honor and explore in a small-group setting of confidentiality and support, linking up faith and life as we really live it.

2009-10 schedule in Neighborhood House:

We’re on at 12:30 for lunch, drinks, music, and theological conversation, whatever that ends up being.  This fall, we're looking at an issue the recession has really brought home for us: our money and our beliefs, using the book Money and Faith: the Search for Enough.  That book will be provided to you – just show up and grab a copy.  The hang-out and the reads are all great ways to go deeper with each other and within ourselves.

Rsvp for lunch or childcare, by emailing the Rev. Susan Richardson, srichardson@christchurchphila.org.

Sept 20 Come back together after summer break for our favorite Mexican food - plus wine, beer, soft drink of your choice.

Oct 4 1-3 p.m. In lieu of our October meal, we'll honor St. Francis on Oct 4, that saint's special day, by particulating in teams in the Scavenger Hunt, sponsored by Christ Church and cityHUNT.org, to benefit Project H.O.M.E.  Bring your colleauges, friends, and neighbors, form a team, and "shoot" your clues throughout Old City using a digital camera and clues that will be provided for your team.  Registration required; to sign up, go to www.christchurchphila.org/hunt.

Nov 15 One service that Sunday, at 10 a.m.! - celebrating the birthday of Christ Church.  Bridge lunch to follow at noon, cuisine TBA.  Bring a drink and a colleague or neighbor.
