Lenten Faith and Family Series:
“Talking to Kids about the Death of a Loved One”
Faith and Family has juggled its winter/spring topics a bit. All parishioners are invited to the Lenten Faith and Family forum on how to talk to our kids – whether young ones or teens – about the death of a loved one and how to help them, and ourselves, grieve. March 2 and 9, at 10:10, Dr. Sara Corse from the Council for Relationships will join us to lead the discussion; please bring your family’s questions and valuable experiences to this shared exploration of a tender topic. For more information, please contact the Rev. Susan Richardson.
Spring topic:
"Kids and Ethical Choices"
How do we help kids - both young ones first forming awareness of right and wrong, and teens confronting tough peer issues - learn to make ethical choices they feel can truly own? The spring Faith and Family series, at 10:10 on April 13 and 20, will look at helping kids learn to make their own moral choices, giving parents a framework for thinking about the issues and a forum for bringing up their own personal concerns. Leading us will be Dr. Sara Corse, director of the Einstein and University City offices of the Council for Relationships, who worked with us on the fall and Lenten series, as well.
