Our Atrium (Sunday School) program uses the Godly Play curriculum to teach children ages 4-10. Each session includes an opening circle time in which children listen and respond to a story from the Bible. Children are then free to do their own "work" in response to the story. They may create an art response, spend time playing with or re-telling the story they just heard, or spend time in independent prayer or play.
Godly Play recognizes that every child has an experience of the divine, and seeks not so much to instruct with dogma but to help all children access and express this experience. Our Atrium is staffed by trained volunteers who tell stories and invite children to participate.
