Small Groups

One disciple asked his master, "Then why do you speak of God at all?" and the master replied, "Why does the bird sing? She sings not because she has a statement but because she has a song."

Our autumn small group and faith formation program, Discovering the God We Never Knew, begins Tuesday evening, September 21, and continues for ten Tuesdays. Rarely in our spiritual lives, do we discuss God with other seekers. We keep our beliefs and questions, often formed in childhood, to ourselves. Is God the sculptor of the mountains, the stern judge, love perfected, the wrathful father, the loving mother or not at all? Do you experience God in the person of Jesus Christ, or is that theology confusing?

Each week, Parker Kitterman, Susan Richardson and Timothy Safford will share their own spiritual journeys with God, and in small groups, all participants will share their journeys with each other.

The program will continue through Tuesday, November 23rd. Each week begins at 6:30 PM, preceded by a potluck / brownbag supper at 5:45. Each evening ends promptly by 8:15 PM. Childcare will be available. If needed, please indicate the names and ages of children..For more information, please speak to one of the clergy, and to register, please use the automated form below, or please contact Cecilia Wagner in the parish office by phone (215.922.1695, ext 21) or email Cecilia.
