The Christ Church/Philabundance Winter Food Drive
As we enter the new year, counting our blessings, great and small, appears front and center. For some, the sense of abundance is clearly present and vast while for others it is not. After the holidays, the food cupboard pantries are in great need of restocking their shelves. Food banks across the country are experiencing a serious shortage of food for those in need. Last year, our annual collection yielded just over 1,321 lbs of food. Let’s see if we can break that new record! Please help us succeed.
The Christ Church faith community will gather specific pantry items on Sundays, January 29 and February 5 for PhilAbundance, a nonprofit organization fighting hunger and malnutrition in our city and the Delaware Valley. Make plans to share your abundance and gratitude for all the blessings of your life by bringing your gifts of food to church. If you are unable to deliver your donation on one of those Sundays, please deliver it to Neighborhood House by February 5.
