GENEALOGICAL RESEARCH AT CHRIST CHURCH
We will conduct individual searches of our church registers for BAPTISMS, MARRIAGES & BURIALS performed here for a minimum fee of $25.00. This fee will cover up to ten entries in these categories. This is not refundable. Each additional 10 entries will add another $15.00 to the research fee. Our records begin in 1708. Please note that some listings are now available on this website:
Baptisms – 1708-1843
Marriages – 1708-1768
Burials – listings not yet posted on website.

If you wish to make a contribution in addition to help with the preservation and restoration of Christ Church, please make a separate check payable to “Christ Church Preservation Trust”.
Available records for BAPTISMS may include: the name of the child & parents, the date of baptism, and sometimes, the date of birth. Godparents (sponsors) are not listed until the 20th century.
For MARRIAGES: the names of the couple, the date of marriage, and sometimes the name of the officiating minister, not of witnesses or parents until the 20th century.
For BURIALS: for an adult male, the name of the deceased only, no survivors listed. For an adult female, the name of the deceased and of her surviving (or pre-deceased) husband, no other survivors. For a minor child, the name of the deceased and of the father; if the father is dead, of the mother. The burial place is noted if other than Christ Church Burial Ground. If your family burial is listed in the Christ Church 1864 Burial Inscriptions Book, a copy of that inscription will be included.
A digital version of the 1864 inscription book of burials is available on CD Rom for $10.00.
Send a list of all names you wish researched with actual or approximate dates of birth, marriage or death. We do not need a full history of your family, just names & dates. If requested, we will search backward & forward in time for the history of a married couple, for their children, or to see if family members are buried at or from Christ Church.
