Fall Faith and Family Series
“Being Your Child’s Advocate”
From routine parent-teacher conferences, to the times when our kids are being assessed or evaluated in particular, being our child’s advocate is one of our most important and challenging roles as parents. It is filled with questions of how to best support the child both in the long run and during the evaluation, how to work with other teachers and administrators – and of course, how to handle our own self-care when so many of our deepest fears and hopes are being triggered. On four Sundays this fall - Oct 5, Oct 19, Nov 2 and Nov 16 - at 10:10 in Neighborhood House, Priscilla Singleton, family therapist on the staff at Council for Relationships and director of the Paoli office, will share guidelines as well as offer a time for parents to bring their questions and experiences. For more information, check with the Rev. Susan Richardson.
