Christ Church of Philadelphia, a National Historic Landmark, seeks to identify four firms from which it will request proposals for the design of a public display and mounting for its original 1702 bell—the earliest bell in North America. Up to four finalists will be selected from among the submitted RFQs. Finalists will provide design proposals by August 16, 2013 and will each receive a $3500 stipend for their work. The winning design will be chosen by a selection committee on October 17, 2013. That firm will then oversee the construction process, to be completed in time for the public dedication of the bell on July 4, 2014.
